IntegReview, Ethical Review Board was established by Lynn Meyer, CIP, in January 1999. Lynn's previous experience included 11 years as Administrator of an IRB, which was part of a local Contract Research Organization. This experience provided Lynn with extensive knowledge and interpretation of the federal regulations relating to IRBs and the protection of human subjects.
IntegReview has experienced steady growth as evidenced by the addition of a second board that was established within the first year of business. A third board was established in June 2005 that is dedicated to the review of Phase I research studies.
All three boards meet on a weekly basis to review research studies and related documents. In addition, unscheduled meetings will be planned to meet client needs.
To meet the demands as business increases, we continue to hire experienced administrative staff. Presently more than 20 full-time employees serve our client needs. The organizational structure is such that a 4-member team supports boards 1 and 2. Currently, board 3 is administratively coordinated by a 1-member team. The position of Training Manager was created to ensure proper training and documentation for staff and board members. Also, a Quality Systems Team was added in early 2005 in an effort to ensure quality assurance and quality control.
